The first corporate Shining Star Award was presented to Meijer, Inc. during a news conference at the Grand Rapids Cascade store.
Meijer is hoping many of their 30,000 employees will be inspired by Robert Loonsfoot's story.
Loonsfoot is a Meijer employee, cornea recipient and brother of a liver transplant recipient, Amy Shea.
