During the news conference at Henry Ford Hospital, donor mom Julie Rocheleau met the recipient of her young daughter's kidneys, Sonya Cook, for the first time.
This tearful meeting was witnessed (and broadcast) by Fox 2 News, WDIV Channel 4, WXYZ Channel 7, the Detroit Free Press, and both WWJ and WJR radio stations in Detroit.
