Youth Education

Gift of Life Michigan offers tools to educate the state’s young people about organ, eye and tissue donation. Making them a part of the family conversation about donation helps bolster understanding and ensure that decisions are shared and clear.

Resources are available for all age groups, from kindergarten through college. They include:Decision: Donation, an online school program offering a student tutorial and tools to learn about organ donation. This is recommended for middle and high school students. Click here.
  • The Gift of a Lifetime program offered by Donate Life America and the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation provides lesson plans and fun activities for school children. Click here.
  • If you'd like Donor Registry brochures for your class, email our Corporate Communications Department.
  • KidZone, by Mid-America Transplant Services, is an interactive Web site about organ donation. Click here.
  • Campus Challenge is a competition for college students aimed at adding names to the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. Colleges and universities compete to sign up the most residents and the winner is given a traveling trophy for its successful campaign. This program is responsible for hundreds of new registrations each year. Contact Jennifer Tislerics, Gift of Life's partnerships coordinator, at 743.922.1048 for more information.
