View Quilts

My block is made in memory of Kevin Michael Sherwood. I made a nine patch quilt block. Kevin was a cousin of mine and a very special person. He would have done anything for you and would have asked nothing in return. He leaves behind a wonderful wife and five very special children. I hope I can continue to help his children to remember how much of a great person their dad was and to never forget him.

My husband Kevin was forever the child, even at age 36. He refused to grow up no matter how old he really was, his 5 children loved this and loved him very much. He was a firefighter, an EMT and loved to ride his Harley Davidson Firefighter edition Road King. I often say that I had 6 children, 5 i gave birth to and 1 that I married. Kevin always had a smile on his face, even after he became ill you never saw him with out one. He laughed and joked everyday, even about his own illness. This often made others uncomfortable at first, but they would soon warm to his sense of humor and be laughing right along. Kevin will live forever in hour hearts with a smile and a laugh.

At the time Kevin passed away the song "He was a Good Man" seemed to describe Kevin perfectly. He was a good son, brother, husband, father, fireman and friend. He was a good man! I saw the other quote in a magazine and it seemed to express my feelings.
