Financial Contributions
The Gift of Life Foundation provides financial help for transplant recipients in need, allocates research grants and helps fund programs that promote organ and tissue donation.
In 2010, the foundation contributed money for social media components of the Donor Drive 2010 campaign and the Wolverines for Life Coalition. It also provided funding for a triathlon team made up of three donor brothers, helped transplant recipients with post-secondary education and supported an annual donor memorial ceremony at a Detroit hospital and events at a partner organization.
The foundation is separate from Gift of Life Michigan, and gifts to it are tax deductible.
